** Viewer Hours Explained:
Viewer Hours is an easy way to calculate how many people can watch your broadcast given the hosting package you choose. 1 Viewer Hour is equal to 1 person watching your broadcast or VOD for 1 hour. Therefore, if you choose the Cloud Economy package with 20,000 HD Viewer Hours, you could have 1000 people watch 10 broadcasts that are each 2 hour long per month. To figure out how many viewer hours you need multiply your expected audience by the length of the broadcast by the number of monthly broadcasts

Storage Requirements
A VOD’s length and bitrate determine how much storage space is needed. File size is calculated by taking the bitrate (Mbps) of the video and multiplying it by the length of the video (in seconds). Remember, bitrate is in Megabits per second, but storage is in Megabytes! To make this conversion, divide the Megabits per second by 8 to get Megabytes per second. Then multiply it by how long the video is in seconds. We have compiled a chart with some common formats and appropriate bitrates with different lengths of videos. See the Storage Chart.
